Since Hurricane Ivan hit Carnegie in 2004 the Irish Town section of the borough has never been the same. There are a number of vacant properties and the ones occupied are not kept up to standard. Borough council members toured the area to get an idea of where to begin with the resurrection of this part of Carnegie.
