I took these photos of Bobby "Blue" Bland at Pittsburgh Blues Festival at Hartwood Acres July 2012. At that time I didn't realize I was witnessing a living legend. Bland has been making hits since the late 1950's and even made an album with B.B. King. As he was escorted to the stage with help from band members he sat down and asked if his chair could be moved closer to the audience. They obliged and moved him a bit closer. Bland went on to to play "Turn on Your Love Light," where an audience member (pictured below) shouted back, i'll turn on your love light Bobby! Blues fest security later made arrangements for the two to meet after the show. She got to meet an idol and get an autograph. As she was wheeled away Bobby "Blue" Bland yelled back I love you (pictured below) to the long time fan he just met.
